Generative artificial intelligence (AI) is evolving at a head-spinning speed.
ChatGPT, an AI chatbot developed by OpenAI, made a big splash when it landed on the scene late last year.
It’s the first time a tool capable of composing human-like content has gone mainstream. Just two months after launch, it became the fastest-growing consumer application ever, with 100 million people using it for everything from business pitches to poetry.
At Recruitee, we want to explore how built-in generative AI capabilities can help our customers get essential recruiting tasks done faster — and where in Recruitee it will deliver the most value for them.
Today, we’re excited to share that we’ve launched an AI-powered job description writing tool built on OpenAI’s GPT technology.
Why AI for job descriptions
If job descriptions were easy, writing a good one wouldn’t take much time and effort. The better the job description, the better your chance of attracting your ideal candidate.
Think of Recruitee’s AI-powered tool as a writing assistant. It uses natural language processing (NLP) to draft engaging, easy-to-read job descriptions for your target candidates — in minutes.
Your new assistant might not be perfect, but then nobody is. Use it to kick-start the writing process and enjoy the time savings!
How it works
Our AI-powered writing tool lets you quickly and easily generate job descriptions and requirements inside Recruitee’s job editor.
Give it a simple text prompt in any language, and AI will do the magic.
Open your prompt with a verb and be concise. Here’s a good example:
AI will now write the job description for you. Treat it as a first draft — a human should still review it. Edit the generated content so it’s relevant, or ask AI to write it again.
The future of AI in recruitment
Don’t fret — the robots are not coming for your job.
We’ve known for a long time that AI and machine learning will one day reshape our personal and work lives. Large language models (LLMs) like ChatGPT offer the potential to get us there faster.
But while AI can help remove many tedious, manual tasks from your plate and enhance your abilities, it cannot replace the human touch.
For now, AI’s role in recruitment is to help streamline your work, freeing up more time to spend on the strategic and relationship-building parts of the job.
You’re still the expert in human connection, and that’s exactly where you’ll continue making the biggest difference. Learning to work with generative AI will help you stay ahead of the curve and save time.
The future of AI in Recruitee
AI for writing job descriptions is only the beginning.
Content creation is a big part of recruiters’ day-to-day. LLMs’ use of natural language can be helpful in areas like email templates and careers sites.
Right now, AI works better for some recruitment tasks than others. We don’t believe it’s ready to support every part of the hiring process — yet.
We’ll continue to learn about AI’s potential, risks, and limitations, so we can provide only the best tools for you to leverage.
We plan to add more AI capabilities to Recruitee soon, so stay tuned! One last thing: AI text might be everywhere, but it’s not in this article. A human wrote it. :)
