TA Innovators meetup on Sourcing with tech

Micheala discussed the importance of sourcing for diversity, while Sjamilla talked about her favorite sourcing tools. Sourcing for diversity

Micheala discussed how to focus recruiting on diversity, sourcing for diverse teams, and how to set up an inclusive recruitment process. How to focus on diversity:

• Creating a plan
• Analyzing your current team
• Defining your target groups
• Setting your goals
• Getting the business on your side

According to Venglářová: “ethnically diverse and gender-diverse companies are 35% and 15% more likely to outperform the market average in terms of revenue.” How to source for diverse teams:

• Create blind searches & profiles
• Use neutral words instead of masculine or feminine words
• Engage with your target group

Setting up an inclusive recruitment process:

• Talk to your team and create awareness
• Create a diverse recruitment team by balancing gender and heritage
• Tailor to your candidate by being personal and creating a specific story for them

Sjamilla’s favorite sourcing tools

In Sjamilla’s presentation, she shared her favorite sourcing tools, tips, and techniques. This included must-know mac shortcuts, the importance of a text editor to create boolean strings, and chrome extensions that promote safety, productivity and optimize sourcing. Here are some of Sjamilla's favorite extensions. Safety:

• uBlock: Ad blocker to help you stay focused
• Nord VPN, Privacy Badger, and Express VPN: Helps you to browse the internet safer

Productivity:

• Extensity: Manages your chrome extensions
• OneTab: Closes all tabs quickly without losing them
• Mixmax: Email tracking and enhances productivity for Gmail
• Toggle: Allows you to track what you’re working on
• Grammarly: Checks spelling and grammar

Sourcing:

• Data Miner: Helps with data scraping
• Multi highlight: Used for quick searching & filtering
• Amazing hiring: Sourcing tool
• Nymeria: Gathering contact information
• Phantom Buster: Automation and data extraction
